Hakone Shrine & Lake Ashi
Arrive in Hakone, a beautiful mountain destination famous for its hot springs, peaceful landscapes, and spectacular views of Mount Fuji.
Visit Hakone Shrine, a historic Shinto shrine founded in 757. Take time to admire its famous red torii gate standing in Lake Ashi, one of Hakone’s most recognizable sights.
Enjoy free time around the shrine and Lake Ashi, where you can explore the peaceful surroundings and capture memorable photos with Mount Fuji in the background when visibility allows.
Lake Ashi Pirate Ship Cruise — Optional
For an additional experience, enjoy an optional cruise on Lake Ashi aboard a pirate-themed sightseeing ship. The cruise is available at your own expense.
Choose from three themed vessels:
- Royal II
- Victory
- Queen Ashinoko
During the cruise, enjoy scenic views of Lake Ashi, Hakone Shrine’s torii gate, and Mount Fuji.
If you prefer not to take the cruise, your guide can provide directions for continuing to the next tour location.

If required, we can provide complimentary transportation by car to Higashigendai Ropeway Station.
Hakone Ropeway & Owakudani
Around 12:30 PM — Approximately 30 minutes
Continue your Hakone adventure with a ride on the Hakone Ropeway. Enjoy panoramic mountain scenery and views of Lake Ashi and Mount Fuji, subject to weather and visibility conditions.
Arrive at Owakudani, a famous volcanic valley created by the massive eruption of Mount Hakone thousands of years ago.
Explore this unique geothermal area and see volcanic landscapes, steaming vents, and other natural features. You can also try the area’s famous black eggs, traditionally boiled in the naturally heated volcanic waters.

Lunch is not included in the tour.
You can choose the option that suits you best:
- Bring your own food.
- Purchase lunch at one of the available tourist facilities.
- Enjoy a meal at a restaurant recommended by your guide.

Lake Yamanaka & Swan Lakeside
Continue to Lake Yamanaka, one of the famous Fuji Five Lakes.

Oshino Hakkai
The final sightseeing stop is Oshino Hakkai, a picturesque village famous for its eight clear ponds.
The ponds are fed by snowmelt from Mount Fuji that filters naturally through the surrounding volcanic layers. Enjoy the crystal-clear water, traditional scenery, and beautiful views of Mount Fuji.
Take your final photographs before beginning the journey back to Tokyo.
